Bahar Viniche

Postdoctoral Fellow, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto

Bahar Viniche is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Operations Management at the Rotman School of Management, working with Prof. Nooshin Salari and Prof. Sheng Liu. Her research lies at the intersection of operations research, transportation, and data-driven optimization. Her current postdoctoral work examines how mobility platforms, including ride-hailing services, can improve access to time-sensitive healthcare by reducing emergency response delays and enhancing service reliability.

Bahar received her Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering and Management from York University, where she developed decision-support models for last-mile logistics using advanced optimization, parametric design, and machine learning. Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed her MSc and BSc at Sharif University of Technology. She is also the recipient of the 2023 Women in Transportation (WTS) Graduate Student Award.
